Yongningmen, known as the South Gate, is the most time-honored and magnificent among all the city gates of Xi'an. Built during the early Sui Dynasty, it has witnessed the city's evolution over centuries. The gate features a substantial archery tower atop the 12-meter-high city wall, providing a vantage point for panoramic views of Xi'an.
